there were alotta things that were 'supposed' to happen this weekend....

but this past weekend was crazy to say the least.

we planned on housin a few friends for ACL. instead we ended up housing alot more cuz of the overhyping of hurricane margarita by the media. but i cant totally blame the media-i think lots of people just freaked out. i think alot of people didnt realize that what happened in NOLA was due to not only horrible government fuck ups (mike brown-aka mr. pass the blame, bush aka mr lets not give NOLA/lousiana money for levees or anythin else for that matter), but also-and im prolly gonna catch shit for this-houston, unlike NOLA doesnt have levees protecting it, isnt bowl-shaped, isnt totally below sea level, and is a much wealthier city overall. im not sayin that NOLA deserved it or anythin like that-i love the place-where else can you drink in the streets at any time of day, hear really good music, and see really nice historical houses? its fuckin beautiful and i hope they rebuild it, cuz the US needs all the culture it can get. but, to sustain a city of that size in that location, you gotta have the money to fund the technology neccessary to protect it from what happened both before and after the hurricane. anyways, enough of that-the end result wasnt bad for us tho-we ended up havin alotta good friends here for a really good time. willie b and brittney, the cullster, and the dominator all helped us get as crunk as possible.

needless to say-the insanity soon followed after willie b got here thurs...ACL + willie b's birthday + a seperate what made milwaukee famous/black keys/arcade fire show + the dominator (aka dom cougar mellencamp) + tons of drugs and alcohol = tiempos muy muy locos.

it all started off with the best show i think ive ever seen. the wmmf/black keys/arcade fire show was easily the best show ive been to and prolly ever will goto in my life. and i know theres been alotta hype about the arcade fire, but its well deserved and all you assholes who are now listenin to them cuz coldplay told you to need to find a reason to listen to music other than bein cool...they played a small venue-if you can call stubbs that, but par and i were the only ones who went and i think everyone else shudve gone, but cully was still on a plane from cali and nobody else had the inclination-their loss...id never heard of wmmf, but they turned out to be really good, and im gonna start dlin em soon. the black keys followed, and i hadnt heard too much from them either, but they rock out pretty hard. really good soulful blues/rock. and theres only 2 people in the band. a drummer and a guitar/singer. but the noises that came outta the 2 of them were incredible-i thought there had to be at least another guitar player on stage somewhere, but it was just them. after the black keys came heaven in the form of live music. the arcade fire put on a seriously ridiculous show. i can only hope to god that i will be able to remember the feelings and thoughts that went thru my head during and after seeing them. it was kinda weird. i think hipsters and music snobs must have too cool complexes cuz NOBODY was dancing. cept for me, par and a group of guys who had worked their way to the front. actually we were moshing, just to spite all those assholes who were just there to nod their heads in approval-what a buncha lamers....it didnt matter tho-cuz we rocked arcade fire rocked even harder and win repaid all the moshers by jumpin into us not once but twice, and we held him up for a lil bit and then threw him back on stage-i think we jacked his guitar tho cuz he had to go get a new one after we were done with him...

ACL was supposed to have a cat 1 hurricane above it and possibly get postponed/canceled, but instead it was over 100 everyday and there wasnt a single cloud in the sky. it was like goin to a music fest in the middle of the sahara. which ended up kinda sucking and puttin a damper on things. first off, nobody was moving to the music, either they were waay too cool for school or just too hot to move, ill give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was too hot, that of course didnt stop me and par from gettin our groove on-you know how we roll-just let the music take you away...but ill give the ACLers more credit cuz it was over 100 and every night im sure they were pullin black boogers outta their noses and coughin up dirt in the morn-but still-dont stand in the front when a band is tryin to rock out-most bands will feed off the crowd just like the crowd feeds off the band-if youre gonna stand do it in the back-so that the partiers can show the band that their appreciated...

on saturday night-we got a keg after acl and threw a lil party for willie b. it was his birthday and im pretty sure he had a good one. a keg between 20 people who've been drinkin all day already usually ends in some kinda insanity-like C R blasting pantera at 4 in the morn from el trucko gigante, chiolko poppin in and par and i finally figurin out how that nigga finds his way here over some NOS hits (holla choilko) and of course the willie b entertainment system-all ill say is that willie b and brittney had a hell of a time in our backyard accordin to cully who was sleepin in the back room and was awaken by the barkin of the neighbors' dog and other animal noises...its good to know willie b had a good bday tho-you gotta see the grin on that fools face after brittney threw his ass off a chair and onto the beer soaked ground...

the dominator or most definitely was in rare but good form as i got to meet brook (is that even her name?)-some 35 year old woman-or shud i say girl-shes either 15 years too old or young for dom-if you know dom then you know what im talkin about. anyways, it was nice to see dom again-and not in scrubs and a white t. as for nick d and brandie-who were supposed to stay with us til they saw the state of el houseo and then never came over again-what the fuck happened? slackers...its like theyre married-wait they are...explains alot-dont ever let me get married...

so that was pretty much the weekend-hopefully par will have the pics up soon...

hopefully ill get better at this bloggin thing and update more frequently so you dont hafta read a book everytime we post, but its hard when you get crunk all the time and try to pass classes...

So we had a party the other weekend and i heard it was awesome, but I woke up with my head in my trashcan...and then took some shrooms and cleaned the house with par, kelsey, and stephen. Thanks kelsey!!! Then the next day i gotta take a final in probability. How i passed classes this summer i really dont know....anyways i promise i'll pace myself this time, instead of actin like an amature and passin out at 2 am. So all of yall shud most definitely come out and party with us, its gonna be fun...

... I recognize this thing needs some updates to explain how we went from having no house to having a party in our house, and all that useless junk will come, for sure, but later. for now there's this:

We are looking for a 3 bedroom house and have been looking for quite some time. The problem is that we've dealt with too many shady realtors who have always found some way to waste our time (give away a property we've already given them deposits for or show us properties that aren't available to us because of the move-in date). Because it took one realtor over 2 weeks to tell us that they 'promised' our property to someone else, we are now in a bind and running out of time...

What we require:
-July 27th move in at latest
-3 fair sized rooms (fair sized = can fit a queen sized bed and desk)
-refrigerator
-stove
-dishwasher
-washer/dryer (or at least connections)
-west of I-35
-south of 183
-north of 71
-east of Mopac (unless its Tarrytown)

What we prefer:
-CACH (almost a requirement)
-2 bathrooms (we'll deal with 1 if we have to)
-to stay away from I-35 as primary highway
-close to a bus route (half mile at most)
-front porch and\or back porch
-no common walls (not a huge deal)
-no more than $1500/month rent

If you feel you have a property that meets our requirements and some of our preferences we'd definitely be interested in more information. So, if you could please email with contact info we'd be more than interested in trying to set up and appt to see the house. Thanks so much.

PMT will Suffer

So here's the deal, po and I have been searching for houses basically nonstop. So today on my way to work, fuckin PMT (Property Management of Texas) calls me and tells me the house they said we would SIGN THE LEASE FOR TODAY is not going to be available to us. This is the second time they've done this. The first time we were told by PMT that we were getting a house @ 4513 Speedway, and so we gave them the security deposit, first months rent, all that shit. Well these assholes make us wait about a week before getting back to us and telling us that someone has tried to outbid us on the house.... wtf. Now granted, this was an awesome house in Hyde Park, and the $1600 rent seemed a little too low, so a bid didn't really surprise me. We matched the bid (only an extra $50) and were told the house would be ours in weeks time or so. So another week passes when po decides that we've waited long enough and calls PMT to find out WTF they are doing. Turns out they gave the house to someone else. Why did we have to call to find this out? Turns out PMT only knew 25 minutes before po called... yah right, nice try guys.

hopefully one of these days we'll actually have a home. but right now, im sick of lookin at shitty places with inflated rents. it's pretty incredible the amount of shit we've (par and po) have gone thru lookin for a decent place. what the fuck is goin on in this city anyways? i understand that there are alot of really rich ass sluts (no offense to my future wife) who have daddy pay for everything (wait-thats me too...), but you'd think this was fuckin manhattan (cept manhattan actually has rent control). landlords and property managers in central austin are for the most part completely worthless. unfortunately, im leavin one of the few good ones...why you ask? well, i cud give you alotta real reasons why, but why don't i just boost your egos and tell you that it's all for YOU.

there it is. the whole reason par and i have gone thru literally thousands of real estate listings, just to have all the good ones taken the second they're posted, or in the case of the last one, given away by PMT cuz they're a buncha jackasses, is for all of you motherfuckers. y'all better feel like some blessed sons of bitches.

but hopefully there will be a house soon. very soon. and then you'll understand the point of this blog, and i'll be able to actually remember things for once (or at least make real attempts to remember). cuz the last 8 years of college (yes i admit it-i've been in college for 8 years-goin on 9) have been a serious blur (please try to keep your tommy boy/old school/van wilder jokes to yourself as i've done heard them all and it's really not all that impressive to remember lines from those movies, unless you're attemptin to pick up sororisluts).

so hopefully i'll be signin a lease tomorrow evenin and this can be the last y'all hear bout us lookin for your future playground.
